Coda

Well, any idea I had about continuing this blog once I returned to the U.S. turned out to be utterly naive. I just don't have the inclination to work on a blog during the small amounts of free time that I do manage to snag. It's too bad, because I did have kind of fun ideas about things I could do. Maybe once I get tenure, or maybe next summer. We'll see. Thanks to everyone for reading and commenting.

A final photo album from Rome is available. Rome was spectacular, even better than I expected. Rome is a dream location for archeology/history types like me. I will be back.
